Why are vaccination rates so low among blacks and hispanics?
Posted by goofball

Asians and whites are the most vaccinated relative to their portion of the population.
Is the spike in Covid cases related to the lack of vaccinations within the black community or hispanic community? Will the government impose lockdowns on states with a high proportion of blacks or hispanics?
quote:
The only states where Asians are significantly less vaccinated than White people are North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Vermont, which collectively have fewer than 500,000 Asian residents.
Our tracker has data from 45 states, D.C. and two cities that cover 95.5% of people and 93.6% of doses administered, with race or ethnicity information available for more than 138 million vaccine recipients.
Overall, states are still generally lagging in vaccinating Black and Hispanic people, despite a greater supply of vaccines across the country.

At least 65% of Asian people have been vaccinated, on average, in states that Bloomberg is tracking. That compares with 45% of White people with at least one dose, 40% of Hispanics and 34% of Black people.

Because they don't trust the government for one. Also, they were told for a year by their chosen "side" in the political theater that the vaccine was dangerous and shouldn't be taken.

Interesting; Do you have to show an ID to get vaccine?

If I had to guess it's about the same reasons libertarians aren't - they don't trust the government?

Blacks have a reason to be distrustful of anything our government tells them.
That being said, the game plan is to blame this on Trump supporters because it's red states like Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi where the vaccination rates are lowest.

It is because Asians and whites are generally more educated. That is the bottom line.
