Doesn't help when our crappy vice president says this, prior to the election, in response to a question of whether she would take the vaccine:

Harris replied, "Well, I think that's going to be an issue for all of us. I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he's talking about," she continued...

And we wonder why.

I had numerous Dem coworkers who said they wouldn't get it because it was developed under Trump.

That's white progressive people, I don't think Black people are that dumb.

The progressive view of black people is hilarious. They literally believe they are still hut dwellers who need white saviors.

about the experimental shite we did to a large number of Black folks

And why are medical schools usually in mostly poor areas? For experimenting

However, i don’t think this applies to low vaccination rates. If they are poor, the blacks & Hispanics can usually get Medicaid - so most of the lack of healthcare is on them.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that primary care participation is also lower among blacks and hispanics

CVS and Walgreens on ever corner. Sometimes with a Winn Dixie in same shopping center.

Try again Bubba.

I live in Nola. They aren't getting it here either.

But go ahead and spew your fricking bullshite.

Majority of the black population lives in cities. Not rural.

If any group has a historic reason to not trust vaccines, it's the black community.

That lyric effort is actually starting to make sense given how few African Americans are getting the vaccine.

Blaming Trump supporters isn't holding water though. That's not logical. Older white people especially have been pretty enthusiastic about getting the vaccine.

I know as many Democrats that refused the vaccine as Republicans...at least within the subset of my more trusted colleagues.

Blacks are strange because they don't like the vaccine, but they love wearing masks.

This. Every pharmacy in the country is giving the vaccine to walk ins, for free.

If you want the vaccine, there is no excuse at this point to not getting it.

After reading to a decent extent in research ethics classes (in undergrad and masters) about the experimental shite we did to a large number of Black folks from situations like the Tuskegee Study to Henrietta Lacks, I can’t blame them for not having trust in a medical treatment/vaccine pushed by the government.

This is so overplayed. The entire population of the world is exposed to the vaccine and is being offered the vaccine.

So it is your position that black people are watching Fox News and reading Gateway Pundit, and have thus been dissuaded from taking the vaccine?

Why are black people being persuaded by right wing propaganda? It doesn't seem to influence their voting tendencies or other preferences......ever. So why only this?

Vaccines don't help you pull door handles, masks on the other hand . . .
