Blacks are strange because they don't like the vaccine, but they love wearing masks.

After reading to a decent extent in research ethics classes (in undergrad and masters) about the experimental shite we did to a large number of Black folks from situations like the Tuskegee Study to Henrietta Lacks, I can’t blame them for not having trust in a medical treatment/vaccine pushed by the government.

Hell, I was hesitant until I read up on them and talked to my Mom’s oncologist who had worked with cancer patients in mRNA cancer vaccine trials.

How'd those trials go?

I believe I read this is the first mRNA vaccine that has been approved in the 30 or 40 years they've been studying it. I welcome someone to correct me if I'm wrong.

The one he was most familiar with was an early (Phase 1) trial with HPV cancer patients (I linked a press release from that below). He also knew a couple that were in I/O trials that had reached a later phase. He felt pretty good about where it was going and they were seeing minimal side effects with reduction of disease.

He was working on getting my Mom into a similar clinical trial when she passed.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that primary care participation is also lower among blacks and hispanics.

Was it primary care physicians/nurses distributing these?

I got my vaccine at a CVS.

Democrats say lack of access to the vaccine which is a load of crap

No problem with it in Chicago. And we were far worse with distribution than Louisiana.

It’s absolutely this.

I know associating with black folks is frowned upon around here but if you talk to black folks that aren’t vaccinated, they’ll tell you this is the reason.

If I had to guess it's about the same reasons libertarians aren't - they don't trust the government?

So they don’t trust the gov’t, yet vote for big gov’t Democrats?

Today Show this morning had a reporter in Lafayette interviewing an elderly black woman over the phone and through the glass hospital door.

Reporter asks "Why didn't you get the vaccine?"
Lady: Because I was scared
Reporter: Do you regret not getting it?
Lady: sadly nods head

It was the most condescending bullshite I've ever seen to make the woman feel like shite for not following their rules. Unbelievable.

Simple. You need an ID to get the vaccine and we all know blacks aren’t able to get an ID.

What does that have to do with having differing levels of trust in the government based on things that have legitimately happened historically?
