Not true. Short is relative. He was 5'6 1/2" tall. The average height back in his day was 5'5" so he was considered tall.

Because he’s short and doesn’t take as much paint

He really wasn’t that short. He was around 5’6”. That was around the average height in France at that time (unlike the OT average of 6’4”).

Because he was arguably the greatest warrior-statesman who ever lived.

he wasn’t for the time

British painters who hated him painted him as a midget basically as propaganda and it stuck because the Brits won

5’7” ish was average for the time
He surrounded himself with very large guards.. and they referenced him as small but in a fashion that did not result in them getting their heads taken off

A side comment….if in Paris go see his tomb.. it will be clear he was the ruler of the world (sorta)

Our Spanish and French heritage lets you know this is a lie.

When Napoleon conquered Egypt, he arranged to spend the night alone in the burial chamber inside the Great Pyramid. In the morning, he emerged pale and refused to speak about it. Years later on his deathbed, Napoleon's doctor asked him what he had seen. Napoleon started to say something, then murmured "never mind, no one would believe it."

Looking back I realize how hard the propaganda machine has been working and for how long. Dude was a legend and a hero but history paints him as an arse with a complex cause he’s short.
