Why are there so many cops on the interstate in Louisiana at any given time?

Am I the only one who has noticed the fact that Louisiana easily has the most cops on the interstate trying to catch people speeding?

When I went to school in Cleveland, and would make the drive up, the only state I would ever have to worry about cops In was Louisiana. State troopers were everywhere.

I even drove to Houston the other day and there were cops all over the interstate until I got into Texas.
Why is this?

Considering how many deadly accidents happen on I-10 nearly every day, I’m not bothered by this. I just wish they’d ticket people for not following the “left lane is for passing” law.

They have been reduced to revenue generators. Speeders and seat belt violation tickets are easy money.

La state troopers are the worst.
I see 2-3-4 of them or tolling 2 lane highways all time across state.

One big money grab is all it is.

I’m from a Small town and once a month or so there will be 3-4 of them cruising around town handing out seatbelt, ins, and window tint tickets.
They’ll even send motorcycle pigs down.

It amazes me.

I've said this before, driving on the Interstate I-20/59 in Alabama, consistently the fastest drivers I see have Texas and Louisiana tags.
The slowest are New Jersey or any tag that has a permanent handicap tag.

It's not about safety, that's for sure.

It's about $$$.

Same as the ambulance-chasing scumbag attorneys that Louisiana seems to have an unlimited market for.

They see your money and want to make it their money.

Because driving on local roads would tear up their cars.

State cops are simply uniformed tax collectors.

To produce revenue for DA’s. This can be done by sticking the public. They ar e also looking to use that forfeiture law. It’s a money grab and it sucks.

Every time I go to New Orleans from BR there's always at least one cop there.

I wish they'd get people for rubber necking and driving with their heads up their asses.

But driving 35 on any road in Lewzianer will never be ticketed.
