At the time, my youngest was 6 months from being out of daycare, until we found out about my current youngest....
I went to the urologist that week.

Not married, don’t have kids. Current slam piece is on birth control and I pull out. Still worried about a surprise though. She’s 37 … but her mom did have a kid at 40 so still a risk.

My swimmers defeated birth control twice. Got snipped.

So they don't have more kids to raise after 40.
Some friends of ours just got pregnant at 47. They've already raised two grown as adults (one 22 and one 25). This is why you get the snip.

I got snipped for several reasons:
1. Though I don't remember the reason 20 years later, my wife was advised by GYN to stop taking birth control pills.
2. Our two daughters at that time were 13 and 11. Things like bottles, diapers, potty training, etc, were all distant memories.
3. I told my wife that even if a horrible accident took both our daughters simultaneously, I was past the age of wanting to do said bottles and diapers again. Kids were becoming a bit independent, we were starting to get our lives back, and I didn't want to go back to the early years of child raising.
4. Considering 1 - 3, and the ease of the procedure and quick recovery when compared to a hysterectomy, I took one for the team and got snipped.
Absolutely no regrets, and I'd do it again if I were in a similar situation. But with that said, getting a vasectomy is a decision each man, or couple, should decide for themselves.

How are your wives or spouses convincing you to do this?
They were emasculated a long time ago, they’re just finally making it official.
Don’t want more kids? Make her get a hysterectomy. I’ve seen what the snip does to a good dog. Don’t want it done to me

see zero benefit to this procedure and tons of downsides.
Once you get married and move out of your parents house, you'll find out having kids is really expensive.

I went in to get snipped and found out I had an aggressive form of cancer. Early detection and way less chemo than I would have needed (only 1 round). 3 yr anniversary was last week

I can't tell trolling/sarcasm from reality anymore. You are aware those two things are not the same, right?

Thanks for confirming you are dumb AF if you think a vasectomy has the same side effects as your dog getting neutered.
Carry on though, tell us more about yourself!

Pretty weak, IMO. Dudes lack confidence in their earning ability, so they take a knee to make sure they will always be able to afford their little trucks / vidya games / whatever.

My friend is a doctor and he calls them “gasectomies” because all the men he snipped ended up playing for the other team a few months after

Because I like to bury it in my old lady without fear of having another kid. Is this a trick question?

Yes, I’m sure they can’t wait to go back and tell their doctor they’re suddenly gay now.
Or did you mean they then became doctors themselves?

Women on birth control aren't smart. Look it up!

Kids and condoms are stupid.
