Most of the reasons listed on here are accurate. Throw in some DEI. They are incapable of any job that actually requires intelligence or productivity, so they are gifted these jobs out of charity. Wokes love a black or a female on the ballot. Combine them and it is the anti white male, which equals automatic votes in lib cities.

Look at any Democratic city and it’s the same. Our judicial system has become like the DMV and other gov positions.

Historically, blacks of the educated variety take up Governement jobs and are groomed at an early age that Governement jobs provide them with job security, regardless of performance, where they are safe from being fired.

What is strange about New Orleans recent politics is that the last two mayors (current and previous) have not only been women, but have also been non-native New Orleanian women (Teedy was from L.A. and Moreno is from Mexico by way of Houston).

You answered your own question perfectly. It's really a shame that judges in their 30s or early 40s are getting elected then staying on the bench for 30 or 40 years. Like you said, these are often attorneys who don't have much of their own practice. While its not always the case, its often because they weren't any good as attorneys. Bad attorneys don't usually make good judges.
