We’re two weeks behind Italy

Cause they’ve all turned every possible room into Covid Wards.
Our hospital is a ghost town compared to what it usually is. They have damn near every Department re-assigned/taking mandatory vacation to limit foot traffic. We have entire Departments shutdown. The OR is running 4-5 cases a day. They usually run 25-30. The ICU’s are full of Covid patients. The nursing staff looks like SWAT gearing up when they have to go in a room. The only real traffic inside the hospital is the Ancillary staff that has to get out and about, ie Housekeeping/Supply/Maintenance/Lab/Pharmacy.

Give up your civil liberties like going to the bar or millions will die

This is a glimpse into what a hospital under socialized medicine would look like. Only essential procedures being performed and bare bones staff.

Most people don't drive themselves to the hospital.

Closed to all but emergencies, and Corona patients are being dropped off, therefore no parking. Plus Corona is not living up to its reputation.

I'm in SE Missouri. Wife & daughter both work at local hospital which is the major one for a several county area. They are 1/2 capacity and are cutting hours, at least 8 per person per week.

Why are all of the Hospitals empty?
Cuccinelli has directed all hospitals to send ventilator covids to the FEMA camps in Texas. ICU space needed to be freed up for treatable covids.

Because no visitors are allowed and the patients can't drive themselves there.

Because nobody wants to go to hospital. They will catch the wu tang virus if they go to the hospital.

Maybe, just maybe, hospital parking lots are filled with cars of VISITORS, and not patients. Just a thought

Edit - 1 week later they are cutting full timers down to 24 hours.
