It ain't just that.

We have entire cardiovascular floors emptied. We have no elective surgeries. We have basically no non-COVID walk-ins into ERs.

It is crazy. Nurses are getting furloughed because there are no patients.

Because all elective procedures are cancelled and no visitors are allowed. The only people in the hospitals are hospitalists, ER staff, ICU staff, and patients.

And if it keeps up, some of us procedural area staff are going to start selling our toys off like the Oil Rig Baws.

It's amazing that this is so hard for politards to understand. Add in social distancing limiting the exposure of COVID, thus lessing that specific patient influx it's pretty easy to see why hospitals are empty. Doesn't make COVID a hoax.

We have seen extreme drop offs in trauma and non-COVID illnesses too.

No car wrecks, no drunks out at bars, no large crowds, everything is sanitized and clean, etc.

Other than COVID, this is the healthiest our population has been in a long time

I drove by 2 locals hospitals and they were all empty in the parking lots

I live on a very busy main road in the city and I hear ambulance sirens all the time except for the past week or so

Because its highly contagious ... but if people aren't out it's obviously not going to spread very quickly. How stupid are you?

Why is the state run media saying they are death zones and war zones and very overwhelmed and short staff and huge lines and not enough PPE, etc?

I mean, your counter-argument that you drove by and saw two empty parking lots is compelling...

I want to see the mortality stats for March. I wonder if there aren't a lot fewer deaths overall.
