Discuss.

I think Nagin takes the cake, but Destroya is well on her way to the crown.

Nagin was a knucklehead, but when he left, NO was on an upswing.

Mitch da bitch took a promising situation and turned it to shite.

Destroya is exactly what was advertised. Is anyone surprised?

Landrieu is the worst of the three.

shite I misconstrued.

Nagin was several orders of magnitude better than both individuals who came after him.

A good argument could be made that either of those two were worse than the other.

Nagin got $50k in bribes or something like that

LaToya will likely cost New Orleans a whole season of tourism

As someone who will personally be at 6 figures of losses by june 1, I would happily take c. Ray back.

I would say latoya doesn't know what she is doing, but she is vindictive and knows exactly what she is doing to my industry...and this city. She doesn't give a frick.

I would gladly take Landrieu or Nagin over the current administration. I made that determination after this Mardi Gras. The pandemic response only reinforced that opinion.

Yep. SWB doesn't know what she's doing. Layota knows exactly what she's doing.

I did some research the other day and from what I gathered the last good mayor of New Orleans was Morrison in the 1940’s. Pretty sad stretch after that.

Destroya from my distant seat in BR. I never thought I would miss Kip either, SMB is horrible.

DeSTroya isn’t smart but she isn’t evil-hearted. Nagin was just trying to make some money on the side and hook his kids up since he took a pay cut to run for mayor.

Mitch was the worst. He wasted a ton of money removing statues that could have been used to make the city more functional in any way. He fiddled as the S&WB completely collapsed, yet had the political savy to distract from that while having the fawning media eating out of the palm of his hand. Then he continued to ignore the needs of his constituents that took a back seat to his “presidential campaign,” which was built on the backs of statues and media privilege. When he was first elected, he had wide support across the city and just about all were unified around him. He managed to splinter and divide the city, leave basic utilities functionless, and propelled his fame forward at the expense of the city. There is no lower scum on the face of the Earth than Mitch.

I think it easily tells you how shitty our fricking city is when Nagin is the best of these three listed mayors.

As bad as the Destroya is, what has she done that's more pure frickery than the "Chocolate City" speech? What has she done that set the city back more that Nagin waiting 16 months after Katrina to get a "recovery czar" in place? And choosing as czar an unrepentant douche-nozzle like Ed Blakely. Y'all have forgotten what stumbling, bumbling shite-show the post-K Nagin administration was.

The decline relative to Houston and Atlanta started on his watch.

And as badly as Latoya handled the Hard Rock, the rot in the permits office started under Mitch. He fiddled while people like Julie Tweeter started signing off on projects without even looking at the site.
