I completely agree with this. Landrieu took up blighted buildings that have ended up costing the city 100s of thousands, he let infastructure rot, and he really tried to divide the city. He’s going to go down as the worst mayor in the cities history, especially considering the momentum New Orleans has when he was elected.
I genuinely hope he regrets how poorly he ran the city. The fact democrats even touted him as a potential candidate is comical. All in the name of removing statues.

Nagin was shite. And corrupt.
But for an urban city mayor he was like a "B".
The Destroya is a next level tard. She's idiotic even for a urban mayor.

Nagin was actually a decent mayor until after Katrina when he lost his mind.
Destroya is scum. She is the worst of the worst

The voters tend to elect people like themselves. The people of New Orleans are stupid and corrupt, so the get stupid and corrupt politicians.
The day New Orleans elected Moon Landrieu it began an inevitable slide into entitlement, the corruption was already there.

Mitch was the worst. He wasted a ton of money removing statues that could have been used to make the city more functional in any way. He fiddled as the S&WB completely collapsed, yet had the political savy to distract from that while having the fawning media eating out of the palm of his hand. Then he continued to ignore the needs of his constituents that took a back seat to his “presidential campaign,” which was built on the backs of statues and media privilege. When he was first elected, he had wide support across the city and just about all were unified around him. He managed to splinter and divide the city, leave basic utilities functionless, and propelled his fame forward at the expense of the city. There is no lower scum on the face of the Earth than Mitch.
I agree with this, but

Nagin actually was a good mayor in some ways. Katrina broke him (as it could many), and he was on the take, but they all are.
Destroya is a fricking IDIOT. She is dumb. And that is way worse.

Instead of blaming the slow, but sure downfall of New Orleans on various mayors, the citizens should first look in a mirror. You don't get a very long list of bad policy, politicians without the help of the majority of the citizens.

Destroya has this power struggle that is going to ruin this city.
In a time where egos and attitude needs to be put aside for the greater good, she says frick it.
Government says one thing. She will do another. Just to prove a point. It is going to cost us.

Is she targeting certain types of businesses? What's her end game ya think?

I think Latoya Can't-keep-it-real is worse, but I also think Greg Meffert is one of the biggest scumbags on the planet.

Thanks again to the NOLA business community for giving us both of them (with a special thanks to Grigsby and his PAC on a big assist in getting us Cantrell).

She is targeting the tourism community the most in my opinion. The convention center and new Orleans and company both told her no when she tried to raid their bank stashes to fix S&WB issues and potholes. It was a big fight and she lost because the city already gets money for that, but squanders it.
