Not looking for a tech discussion, but I have grown tired of my Android phone.

Since everyone knows what's coming, these things have gotten pretty boring. The scripted, monotone speeches are worse.

Wake me when they show innovation that Samsung hasn’t beaten them to, other than memory management or how to keep the goddamn thing from exploding.

There really is very few compelling reasons to upgrade often now other than shitty battery life.

Samsung doesn't innovate either. Like apple, they buyout smaller companies that "innovate" to either squash some competition, keep it from the other guy, or... maybe... use it 5 years later.

So, literally the same tech or the same tech and slightly bigger.

I will be getting the XS Plus or whatever it's called. Upgrade every year, have no real need, something I can easily afford and I like having better camera/faster speed.

Plus I miss the bigger screen of my old plus models.

Slightly better battery, slightly better camera, slightly faster cpu. That's all new phones offer over the previous models now.
