On a related note, there is some young whippersnapper who is relatively new to my street. Evidently lives with his parents and could be anywhere from 17-27. I can't see well into his tinted windows.
When he first moved here, he had a truck with truck nuts and a loud exhaust. Tried to make racket. I kept my cool.
Tonight, when I was walking my dogs after dark, he hauled arse past me in my Camry going around 40 mph (in a 25 mph zone). And then he blew through the four-way stop with a light tap before taking his leisurely time backing into his driveway.
It was several houses down. I tried yelling at him to slow down when I figured he was getting out of his vehicle.
I'm disabled, but I'm stil pretty tough. And I have two pit bull mixes weighing a combined 140 lbs.

You are a fricking idiot. And it is going to result in your arse being in prison, hopefully for life. Don't worry though, you'll have lots of company because of your fricked up, selfish, generation.
The law in every state:
1. Pedestrians
2. Cyclists
3. Vehicles

That's a really reckless way to ride a bike.

This same cyclist probably talks about how vehicles should have more respect for cyclists and then they will proceed to run stop signs and not yield to other vehicles. frick people like this.

Cyclist 100%.
That bitch would get punched by a big ol fist. Oh and frick cyclists that run their dogs while riding. Nothing good can come of it. I’d like to see ever one get overlapped by their dog and break their fricking necks.
And Im a cyclist. frick those idiots.

Not in every situation. If a cyclist chooses to use the road like a vehicle, they are obliged to follow the laws of vehicles. They get no special treatment.
The biggest issues with cyclists are that they insist to try a use what is convenient for them at that instant and keep changing. This is what causes most issues, and cyclists are entirely to blame for that.

The dumbass cyclist. I might of clotheslined her if she pulled that shite with me. Idiots think they own the road.

Two butch ladies. Both are in the wrong…in God’s eyes. They both seem like pieces of shite. I wish the dogs would have taken a little nibble out of both of them.

I know I'm late to the thread, but in what world is anybody but eh cyclist in that video in the wrong? She's on the wrong side of the road/path and intentionally runs into a pedestrian.
Like how the hell is this thread still going?

Does the cyclist not have to follow “common courtesy” rules?

Cyclist are some aggressive assholes. I was getting my running in the other day and some cyclist pulls right in front of me and stops. It was baffling.

Its a cyclist thread on the OT
Its going to be 5 pages because nothing bring out the hate in the OT like cyclists

The walker because she could have just sidestepped to the left 3 feet. The cyclist had two dogs, and her hands full.
The Walker was a count, even called it early, “I’m not moving!”
It’s called common courtesy
Common courtesy would be the cyclist being on the correct side to begin with

Kind of reminds me of when I was in the UK earlier this year. I would be walking on the right side of the sidewalk and was thinking "what a bunch of assholes walking into me" and then realized I was the idiot on the wrong side. They not only drive on the left, they walk there too.
Posted on 1/18/24 at 9:57 am to tiggerthetooth
Definitely the cyclist

The OT definitely has a lot of irrational hatreds, but the cyclist hate is deserved. Oldmanbeasley isn’t saying we should put cyclists in camps just that we shouldn’t take that option off the table.

Cyclist, naturally. The walker, if she "sidestepped" might well have stepped to the same side the cyclist would have, still having a collision. The walker was outstanding in communication: "I'm not moving", meaning you have the choice of either side. Her statement opposed to the awkward/ineffective both moving the same way 5 second dance before collision was the correct response.
