Owe federal but get a state return. Nets out about -1k.

Wife went back to work last year and it bumped us back into the 24% bracket and we lost all sorts of deductions.

Damn the man.

I'm just not going to file in hopes that Trump kills the IRS.

Dependent care was the biggest one. We also over funded the dependent care HSA, which is capped due to our income.

I also don't know a whole lot about taxes. Just what the turbo tax is telling me.

You're aware that you will still owe last years taxes, right?

I paid 2023 taxes off when I filed last January.

There’s no income limit on FSA or HSA. Your wife’s income has nothing to do with you over funding it

One of the funds I hold in my brokerage account took a lot of profit this year so I'm probably going to owe a decent amount. Because of that, I haven't done my taxes yet.

I cant afford my taxes...

The Indians want my land, snd some mega corp wants to put an airport right by my ranch.
I slept with a Senator so she'd help me get elected Governor so I can change the lsnd-use laws.

It's a damn mess, but it's the only plan I've got...

The whole damn ‘working folk’ nation should file an extension

Even with an extension, you still have to pay your estimated tax by the deadline, or you'll be hit with interest on any nonpayment or underpayment

Showing that it shouldn't have been funded over 2,500 for those over 150k.

I even got a note from my employer about it.

So what do you think Trump is going to do in 2025 to change your 2024 tax bill?
