I was in a similar situation last year as far as wanting to do something enjoyable.

Im 30, about to start summer class then 2nd semester of Associates in Construction Management.

I dont really have a particular end game, but I feel stuck without any type of degree.

On the schedule side, 9-5 is a dream. Im in O&G now and it never fricking ends. Ever.

I am not on stage, but yes that is my work name.

I love my job it's what I was born to do

I'm a history teacher and a high school basketball coach and coach baseball teams on he side. I have so much fun everyday, sure teaching can be tedious but I really do enjoy it and of course coaching is amazing.

I'd do my job for free

I'm not really concerned if I like my job. I'm trying to make as much money as soon as possible so I can be done with it and do what I want.

I just need the people I work with to not be dicks and so far so good there.

I am a psychiatrist and I love my job.

I have normal office hours, no hospital work and get to make a positive impact on lives every day. My goal is to get every patient I see "off" of medication and free of suffering.

My job will be much more enjoyable once I get more certifications and make more money. Good thing about my line of work is that the possibilities and directions I can take are endless. You just have to find a company willing to invest in you. As far as my schedule now, I'm working 4-10s (my choice) and there's no one supervising me. As long as I get my reports done in a timely fashion (weekly) it's all good. O&G btw.

Love my job

I get 17 paid weeks off. Sure, i'm on call, but no one calls in sick.

Used to do the sales stuff, but went back to the distrib part of the company. I have some good people i deal with and they make the days go by quickly.

And the 17 weeks off also makes it better. No Weekends, and about 33hours a week(get paid for 40).

I get that line of thinking and I definitely wish my job paid more some days. But honestly with coaching and lessons and summer camps it pays pretty well. And like I said I'd do it for free so the whole only working so I can retire mindset doesn't really apply for me

Started off as a dock boy, moved to being a commercial fishing mate, then a sport fish captain and then to yachts when I got tired of fishing. It's not an easy industry to break into. All of my jobs come word of mouth/recommendations.

I am an EHS Manager. I enjoy it, great pay, not much desire to change careers. It can be a tedious job and nobody likes the position.

I like my job. I'm a Purchasing Agent at a large refinery. I can barely read and they let me sign multi million dollar contracts.
