The prime basis for both is an extreme distrust of the source, not scientific data. It's a common intellectual trap that says, "if you don't trust a source, then logically everything coming from that source is a lie." There is a healthy distrust of the government (which is a good thing), then there is an irrational distrust of the government, which is close to mental illness.

This is moronic. We aren't willing to spend the money on a very dangerous mission. The work being done now is about cost effectiveness and safety. If we wanted to dump people in the moon we could do it tomorrow with a Falcon Super.
