Queen of England and it isn’t close IMO. Half the world are former British colonies and her face is still on stamps & currency in a lot of places.

The answer for some time now and for he foreseeable future is the President of the United States. Whoever that may be at a given time.

Messi or Ronaldo.

We are talking the entire world. Little kids aren't going to know Donald Trump or some actor. They will know the greatest player in the most popular sport in the world though. Adults the same. Especially in smaller countries.

Living? I’d say Trump with absolute certainty.

Ever? I’d say Michael Jackson. I was hiking the plains of Mongolia, and the local population broke the news to me, later confirmed by friends back in the States. Seriously, I was like 100 miles from electricity and they heard about that within the day. That’s extreme fame.

This seems like the obvious answer

You aren't very likely to think that you saw shaq when it was someone else due to his sheer size

You could fool tons of foreigners by just having a tall black guy with you. In China we used to lie to Chinese bouncers to get in for free that our 6’5 black friend was Lebron James. It fricking worked every time and we were treated like kings.

Trump or Obama is the answer.

I work in the international travel industry and the US president is known by almost everyone from everywhere. American policies have a significant amount of impact on the world. Hell, citizens of other countries are even better educated on our Vice Presidents and election points than half of our population. It also helps that Trump and Obama both have a very unique look about them.

Putin and the queen are also up there.

A lot of those poor kids aren't going to know any sports.

It's still President of the USA globally. Especially Trump.

For as many sports fan across the world that know soccer players, there's probably still a ton of young to old who don't follow sports whatsoever but do know TPofUSA.

This is as far as living people go.

There are probably soooo many women who have no clue who Ronaldo and Messi are, but can absolutely Identify the president of the USA.. all around the world..
