I feel you OP. It's just another excuse to go "eat out" and spend more damn money. We usually go by ourselves. I finally had to say enough is enough and show her the bill at the end of the month. The food is good, but it's not worth it to me.
So now we only go with friends once a month and again if someone is in town.
