While I'm sure the Ruston brunch scene was killer, in other more developed cities brunch is a staple. Wake up, drink bottomless mimosas, eat literally anything as long as there's a poached egg on top, go grab some beers then golf the whole rest of the afternoon. I don't understand how a day can be more constructive than that.

Reading this thread I realized that in my 45 years of living I have never had brunch ....

I'm mean certainly I would have done brunch before but I just can't recall ever eating brunch ......

Masons Sweet potato pancakes are frickin awesome

But I like to keep it light on those kind of days so I usually just get the French toast and fill the rest of my stomach with champagne and Orange juice

Brunch is deliciousness. Especially bottomless champagne or mimosas after a great Bloody Mary.

Except for the Londoner. That's a terrible brunch.

Just go to one as soon as they open.

Maybe you shouldn't go to brunch at shitty places. I like to stroll over to Katie's hungover, eat until I'm ready to puke, and then go home and feel sick for a few hours. Does the body good.

Went to Stanley's a couple of weeks ago and had a great brunch. I ended up drinking 4 chocolate shakes.

And that apple cinnamon bread pudding type deal they had a commander's a while back

You're from BR right? Brunch was without a doubt not very popular in the 90s. Sundays were sleepy as frick.

Brunch took off here about when Sushi did(seems like circa 2001), thanks to economic boost and more young professionals in the BR area sticking around after graduation.

You just reminded me of the first time I bought beer after the Blue Laws were repealed in BR. Was about 9am on a Sunday. Clerk say's I can't buy beer till 11 or whatever it was dropped down to before going away completely.

I said "the law changed last week, ask your manager or have her call the owner of this Chevron."

I was firm but polite and got my beer. I'm a drunk.
