I only make ~$130K. Single, no kids, no debt, electric/gas/water/cable are the only bills I have. I feel loaded.

Wife and I were pulling 150k, could buy whatever we wanted when we wanted. Military moved us making 30k less now. FML

my fiance and i have a dual income of 160k.
we live in an area with a relatively inexpensive cost of living.
we have a crap ton of student debt, but i feel we are pretty well off.

But I just recently found out the my neighbors come from very old money. Apparently the wife's great, great, grandpa founded a bank back in the 1800s and the entire family has been living off the funds since. They are older, in their 60s, and they said that their grandchildren will probably be the last generation able to do this.
I always wondered how they both could afford to be artists their entire lives and own several homes across the country.
But I just recently found out the my neighbors come from very old money. I'm in the same boat as far as income, except I'm married with a kid on the way. My wife brings in another 50k. We used to feel loaded. I could pretty much get whatever I wanted. Now we are contemplating her not going back to work after the kid. I went from well off to poor in 9 months
