this. I love how people think the world will end if they don't breed.

This is something else that bothers me. My father was the only son and I am the only surviving son of his. So the family name on my line will likely end with me.

ya genetics dilute down very quickly, in 10 generations your descendants will have less than 0.1% of your DNA

You can have kids without being married, so why even get married?

I never really get posts like these. I actually like and respect my wife and enjoy having a life with her. I got married because I found someone with special qualities that I wanted a life with.

Look at the silly breeder here

How about having a lifetime best friend and emotional supporter who picks me up new cool ipas at the store and brings them to me in my man cave while I’m playing the newest game on my Nintendo switch? Not to mention we’re first in line to see the new marvel movie and we go to Disney 2-3 times a year. Good luck doing all that with your crotch spawn!

cool, still no reason to marry her.

people change, feelings change, situations change. no reason to legally put yourself into a position to be taken advantage of.

if you're poor or ugly, than ignore that i what said

Because my wife is my best friend and i love and respect her. It's a commitment we wanted to show to each other. The point that you think marriage is about having kids is really strange.

Married and no kids. Been a little over a year. I’m 30 and she’s 29 and we’re very on the fence about it. Plan is to start discussions in 3 years.

Kind of weird how old people get now a days without having kids, saying they are just "spontaneous and want to have fun" and go to lengths of freezing eggs and sperm so they can get pregnant later in life. Are people just more selfish now?

I once calculated how much money I would have but for my 2 kids and private school tuitions from pre=k through high school (as well as the other exorbitant costs). It's depressing. Still love my kids tho.

First, I don't really get your position it's fine to select someone as mother of your kids with the drawbacks you're laying out...but not ok to do the same as a life partner.

Next, and maybe this is me, neither of us are taking advantage of the other in a bad way. We're both successful and earning well. If we got divorced and split stuff, I wouldn't lose a dime.

Larger point being, you don't get taken advantage of if you're a successful person and your wife is too.

Well, some of us find bliss with our significant other...the problem for us is that we did have a couple of kids!

I've been married for 5 years and no kids. Don't plan on having any either. Kids are annoying as shite.
