I wish my wife even made half of what I make, but shes home with the kids in summers and holidays so that's a bonus.

shite, I love it. We live a very comfortable life. She recently got a job where she makes slightly more than me, except that I sometimes get overtime and actually made more than her last year. But if I don't work OT, she makes more than me, and it doesn't bother me one bit.

We are upper middle class with our combined income. I make about 40% more. I’ve been trying to push my wife to go to grad school which would result in a lot more money. She would make quite a bit more than me if so, but she is content where she is. Annoys me but I’ve learned to fight my battles. Just worry down the line with kids she will regret not going back when she had the time.

Neighbor is married to a surgeon. He "manages their assets" and takes care of things around the house. I'll ask him if he's upset his wife is the bread winner. The 5 rounds of golf per week probably suck for him.
