My wife is pretty damn skinny and prefers the house cooler than me. We both dread going to my mom's during the summer because it's so damn hot indoors

If I hadn’t sold my Katy house in October I’m sure I would have this Summer. In years past I would be over $400/month for July and August.
Glad to have downsized square footage and only have 1 AC unit on the new place.

Are you like 80 years old? I know old people are always cold. Us younger, in shape men have a high metabolism.

I have been using levelized billing with Entergy for the last 10 years and have not gone over $200 yet.

I have levelized with Demco and mine went up $70 last month which is a huge swing. Usually doesn't change more than $10 or so. It was still way under $500 though

Not even close. House at 78 during the day, high quality blinds and ceiling fans, 72 at night.

I have a 2500 square foot house with excellent insulation and windows and I keep waiting for the bomb to drop but my astronomically high bill of the summer was only $250. Before that it had been running as low as $90 in the spring and like $175 in June. I keep my AC at 76/77 in the day and 73 at night and the fans running and it feels really cool. I'm not sure why I've escaped so far but I'm not complaining. Hell, my only utilities last month (trash water and sewer) were only like $54. Crazy. Maybe it will hit me all at once and I'll get a 5k bill.

He doesn't have to need it -he might just want the 4200 sq. ft. home.

I’m not spewing hyperbole here, I’d 100% would have a for sale sign on this bitch the day after receiving a $500 utility bill.
