I don't think we've broken $500 on our electric/gas, but in Collierville we pay water separately. Combined we may have gone over $500 I'd have to look.
Does anywhere else separate the electric/gas from water?

Has anyone’s usage gone up?

Or is it comparable to previous years?

Ours is almost the same as previous years, yet our bill is much higher.

Are you one of those people who drive around with your phone on speaker rather than using the Bluetooth available in your vehicle?

Level bill pay with Cleco and gas company. $400 together year round. Haven’t seen an jump yet in either. My home is surrounded by 75 year old Iive oaks that help. Probably only 50% of the day the direct sun is on my house.

You’re paying $400 every month year round? That’s fricking horrible

We just built 2900 sft in Broussard. I was worried hearing about you baws with high electric bills. Just got our first bill covering 31 days.... $242.00- Slemco.

I am very happy. The doors were essentially open for 3 days while we moved in and got settled.

We set the thermostat at 78 and above depending on what side of the house we are in. We've never seen a 76 degree thermostat. 78 feels better than 95 every time.

A friend of mine showed me their bill and it was $875 with a 2k ft2 house.
I told them to get kill-o-watt meters from Amazon. Though I think it's their AC.

I have an older r22 system that's about a half pound low right now. I'm still able to keep my bill under $400. I just have the AC set to go to 77 from 1am to 6am and 75 from 10am to 3pm. My AC is only on maybe 9-12 hours a day doing this.

Next AC I'll actually put in a smaller system and take the Two larger upstairs bedrooms off of it and install mini splits in those rooms.

Last bill was $240. 3200 sq ft. At 10:00pm ac is set down to 78. At 8:00am ac is set to 84. Except for a few especially hot days, the ac has not kicked on during the day. House is very well insulated, has tinted windows, and heavy drapes that are kept shut in the summer. Work from home and point a fan at my desk. It's a little warm but not bad at all. Running a pool too.

328.00. 2400 sf two story. Keep the Thermostat around 74. Saving grace is a ton of shade on the house in the afternoon. If not for that would have sailed past 500.

I have learned that there are quality differences in ceiling fans, or in how you mount them. In the old house I bought some Hunters from Home Depot. The ceilings were normal height and the fans were mounted directly to the ceiling. The breeze was just okay. In the new house the ceilings are higher and the ceiling fans are mounted to extension poles. The fan in new room is kicks up wind like a WWII fighter plane - it's either a better fan or the pole mounts makes a difference. With that breeze, 78 degrees on the AC is comfortable to sleep.
