Plenty.

First serious one was with my brother. My older brother split my head open with a gardening hoe.

I was hired to clean up a small town bar for a local businessman. The rich guy in the area was constantly sending his hired muscle to trash the place. There was some arson involved and a lot of people injured. Hell, I met my wife after I went to the hospital with a knife wound and she was the Dr. who stitched me up.

I was nice until it was time to be not nice. Won in the end and avoided legal repercussions because the police “didn’t see anything.”

Last time I was in a "fight" was about age 11

Tired of a kid bullying me and blasted him. He never bothered me again and we later became good friends.

Worst fight I got in. Someone tried to stop me by breaking a bottle over my head. I broke their wrist but I ended up in a hospital because I needed 11 staples from the bottle hit.
Most fights I've ever been in were broken up after a couple of face punches. Give or get a black eye.
I haven't been in a fight in a long long time though. Too afraid of getting shot.
I was never the best puncher but I can grapple so I usually pull people to the ground and try to choke out or maim.
Last fight I was in. In 2009 I still feel bad about. Arguing with a friend who I loaned money to. I had got him a job and he was talking mad shite to me at the job. So I went to his work. Went in back door and confronted him. He pulled a chef knife on me so I threw him to the ground and kicked in his ribs.
Sad thing is we are good friends now. I went to far and used to worry too much about money then. I should have let it slide.

I went to a gang infested public school, so sadly fighting was a common thing growing up .
It's trashy unless it's in a ring. But I wish kids fought over issues rather than use guns.

I haven't been in a fight since 2006 in high school.

As an adult, if I feel threatened enough to have to fight to defend myself.....I'm doing it with a gun.

I trained this young kid at my gym. He became a very good boxer but money started getting the best of him. Not to mention his agent kept saying he would always be in my shadow. He showed up at a bar and challenged me to a fight outside. I didn’t want to at all but he wouldn’t let it go. So we fought in the street. A huge crowd surrounded us. Even a public bus stopped to let the riders watch. I won in the end but it was tough. I even punched his agent and told him to sue me.

A lot as a young kid. As a teenager I took a beer bottle to the head. Still managed to get the guy to the ground and land a few. Then went to the hospital for stitches. Luckily the bottle did not break. Too old now but my bad temper still try's to get me going

This sounds really familiar.

Once you get north of St Louis, fighting is a normal part of culture in small town upper Midwest. There is almost zero chance of weapons and a very little chance of people ganging up.
I have quite a few scars from growing up and I was a straight A student.

I was taking railroad pictures on the SW side of downtown Shreveport (shite neighborhood but generally not a threat to railfans. Meth head nut starts walking up the hill with a bat, telling me "I'm going to kill you m.f." etc. I didn't get into any fight. But, my Aussie intervened quickly. Guy tries to kick her, but she readily dodged the kick (she was a great snaker so she was very quick). She looked at him like "oh, this is how you want it to be" and went to work on him. She'd hit him with a bite, evade the response, get him again. I call the cops but the guy ran off before they got there. The guy was not found, but the didn't look that hard (and I didn't give a shite if they found him).

The young brothers at this nearby house (probably a house of vice, but never bothered me) were outside laughing as the dog wore the guy out.

Had to fight my way from the Bronx to my home on Coney Island at the time in 1979. Was in a gang and we were falsely accused of killing the leader of the most powerful gang at the time.

So if you are faced with a fight or flight situation when an aggressor threatens you, you’re trashy if you choose not to haul arse? Good to know.
