What do yall drink that nasty tasting hot tooth dye for? It makes your teeth look like a box of crunch n munch over time. Lol

Man, I really dislike all dark roasts. I couldn’t imagine it as a daily drinker.
Too sweet.
Gimme that harsh acidity of a lighter breakfast blend

My peeps had a three piece thing, a pot they boiled water in- and a stacking two piece they poured the hot water over. Is that a percolator?
That sounds like some flavor of pour over. And no, I’m not being sarcastic. That’s what’s it’s called
A percolator is a terrible device that passes the same boiling water through the coffee grounds over and over until everything is ruined.

I use French Truck for my espresso but they're probably more expensive than CC. Like others have said, a local roaster and grinding your beans is going to level up your coffee.

I keep intending to get a percolator coffee maker.

Community Coffee 100% Columbian is fantastic IMO.

River Roads Coffees are local and a good alternative.
This is the correct answer. Located off Industriplex. Owner is 2nd generation and a veteran. Plus, it tastes great. First discovered it when I was a student @ LSU studying for finals, while eating at Louie’s (their original location). Coffee was so good I had to ask the waitress what I was drinking.

Mello Joy is as close to drinking your own vomit as you can come without actually doing it

However, any serious coffee connoisseur would tell you that making your coffee in a percolator is about the worst thing you can do.
Most of the coffee snobs, I know, like a French Press...
Give me an old time stove top percolator, I don't care...

French press seems annoying. I use a basic arse drip ninja machine.
Percolator or pour over seems like the way to go if i was gonna swap

When I worked at Morning Call in Metry my HS senior year, their coffee was just a big commercial pour over.
It was a stainless steel pot, a top with about a 24" in length stainless steel stove pipe where you placed a cloth sac in and put about 2lbs of their own blend of coffee and chickory in, and simply poured boiling water in and let it sift through.
Made like 3 gallons of coffee at a time.

Currently drinking Onyx Coffee
They make amazing coffee but i cant bring myself to spend $30 on 10oz of coffee for a daily drinker.
They won too many awards and now are shipping coffee all over the world so i don't mind them upping their prices to match the demand. Props to them on their success.
There are plenty of options. Have you tried black and white coffee out of north carolina?

If you want flavor, get medium roast. Dark roast toasts out the natural flavors. Also, buy whole beans and grind yourself.
My go to medium roasts are:
- Dancing Goats: expensive, so don’t get often
- Costco’s Organic Mexican (or Ethiopian or Guatemalan) medium roast: not always in stock
- Costco’s medium Columbia roast: usually in stock, cheaper and not as good as the above, but still good

Fresh market has barrels of fresh roasted beans with a huge variety and some grinders. I usually pick up some Colombian or French roast beans and grind them. At $12 a pound, it’s a bit of a premium, but there is just a quality difference I’ve found with freshly ground beans that I haven’t found with pre-ground.
