From what I can tell 99% of them fall into a few categories, all of which suck.
1. Kids doing a stupid challenges
2. Metrosexual douchebags in mostly unfunny skits
3. Thots using it as an excuse to dress like a prostitute and do whatever is currently trendy

Tiktok is not a good thing.
Teens are not developed enough to understand the bigger picture of these things. It’s all likes and shares and dopamine releases and is going to have seriously negative affects on their future

There was an interesting discussion on Brilliant Idiots.
Evidently, in China, on their social media the cool things to do and try to one up each other on is science projects and shite that takes some thought.
But in the US, TikTok, which was created by someone in China, but I think has an American investor.. I don't know.. you have people becoming famous for doing stupid shite.
And the question of whether or not China could use something like tiktok as a tool to help hurt American society.
They were saying that you have kids that literally want to grow up to be a tiktok star. It takes little education to do that. And then you have people who will sit down for a period of time just scrolling through this app to watch people do stupid shite.
I downloaded the app and it wasn't on there for more than a day. I didn't get it. Small clips of people doing stupid shite does not entertain me at all.
What I don't understand is something becoming popular then all of a sudden that's what everyone does.
Or you have people who lip sync a part in a movie or a song.. And people make money doing this shite. I understand it takes some marketing skills, but China might be sitting back laughing at us right now.
