I've only personally known 2 Gertrudes. One was a woman who married one of my older uncles back in the mid 60's and she was quite a few bricks shy of a load.
The other one was a gal I met back in the early 70's who was fine as wine and a true Mississippi Southern Belle type. Classy, elegant, beautiful and came from the upper crust of the day.
She hated her name so much that she went by her middle name and was always reluctant to even tell anyone her first name. So, they do have consequences.

One of my son’s names is Meelo. He’s a quarter Philippine, but so his is brother Aaron. We had to get one Asian name in there.

Drives me crazy is a simple name with a X or Y for no reason. My daughter has a Y and when i tell people her name they say… “ how do you spell it” because you never know.
