It actually is an interesting debate.

Consider the muffuletta, a dish incorporating French and Italian concepts originating from immigrants in New Orleans.

Who claims this? In my opinion, this is decidedly American because it wouldn’t exist without the culture blend from immigration. But does anyone consider this “American”? No, we first think of New Orleans; not America.

That’s the problem with “American culture”. There is no identity other than the lack of an identity.

I saw this said by a liberal woman in a video a few weeks ago. At first I thought it was ridiculous. After thinking about it I think she is onto something.

In general, northern and western white liberals do not have much culture. They are some of the most basic people on earth. I think it’s a reason why they are so open to invading cultures and why so many are obsessed with politics. Their weird beliefs are their religion and their culture. It’s why there is so much more violence that comes from liberal people.
