I think it's ridiculous that she's that offended by what one employee wrote late at night.
I'd be thankful they actually took my order and delivered it that late.. I might be a little offended by the message, but not to the point of seeking social media attention and an apology.

she probably doesn't eat pizza...too thin

Not even close: the Nurse.
What they hell do the Dominos folks think open until 11 means? It sucks to get that late order but that's just part of the deal, dumbasses.

That tiny passive aggressive note is what is grounds for public apologies these days? Holy shite this is ridiculous
Posted on 4/6/16 at 11:08 am to klsu24
That note is not offensive.
That being said, the Dominos crew seems to think that they work at a place that closes at 10:55. They should look at the posted hours of business to eliminate the confusion.
They all probably think the minimum wage should $15.00 an hour too.

I am with the nurse. Domino's could have turned down the order if it was such a big issue. If you don't want people to order 5 mins before closing time then stop taking orders 15 mins before closing time otherwise, STFU & fill my order.

an apology plus free pizza for everyone in the hospital.
I get having your feathers ruffled by the note, just call the manager and complain. Shaming the company into giving you free shite because you were mildly offended ?

And I love how it lead into the whole "nurses work so hard but are so unappreciated rant." As if I hadn't seen enough of those on facebook already

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and been still eating/drinking after it was closed?
This is just it. If the place closes at 10, technically, they can tell you to GTFO when it hits 10:00 even if you aren't finished. But they don't. Because most places aren't run by assholes. So it is instead a common courtesy on the part of the customer to plan to arrive at a time that has them FINISHED patronizing the business by closing time.
If you're in the middle of grocery shopping when Albertsons closes, do they let you finish selecting your groceries for another hour? Nope. They are closed. Too bad, so sad.
I mean, if we are being as technical as some of you people want to be, the pizza place could have taken the order and then stopped working on it 5 minutes later (stopped cooking it mid-cook, not delivered it, etc.) because they had technically closed by that time.

see above...people go into restaurants all the time shortly before they close
And the restaurant can easily say, "Okay guys, hope you enjoyed your diet coke, but you can't order now because we have closed". Obviously, they don't. But again, if you're taking the "hours of operation" as exact fact..

Yeah, so I walk into a jack in the box at 1:59 am(assume close 2am) and order 200 tacos and 200 waters, with a $100 bill. should they serve me?

No actually everyone has not. I have not but then again I was raised right and I am not an inconsiderate piece of shite.
Lies. Youre just an outright liar if you say you've never been in a place of business at closing time. But ok.
Again, it's not inconsiderate to enter a business during posted business hours. Spew all you want. There ZERO wrong with ordering food during posted business hours. The BOSS/OWNERS want to take those calls. That is why they answered the phone!
What don't you understand about this being an employee that overstepped their position.
Geez

The point of my post: EVERYONE likes to get off of work when they are scheduled to. Is that clear enough for you? Sheesh.
Then the note was fricking stupid because no one that works a closing shift in the food industry gets off at close of business. How anyone sides with the Dominos employee is beyond me.

I see more people on here complain about nurses than I ever see nurses making these supposed endless amount of social media crusades for heir profession. And I'm friends with a lot of nurses.

A restaurant? No. Sorry my parents did not raise an inconsiderate piece of shite.

You honestly do not think it is inconsiderate to walk into a sitdown restaurant shortly before they close and sit down for a meal? Jesus Christ. Did your parents teach you zero manners? How old are you?

I worked at 3 different restaurants. No, it's not inconsiderate. It is well known that you don't get off of your shift when the store closes for business. You close your doors at that time, but you don't get off as an employee. You think waiters just show up at 11 when the store opens up as well??? No, they are there 30 minutes to an hour early since that is their shift. Your shift has nothing to do with business hours.
Don't get me wrong, it sucks sometimes. And yes, it's pretty shitty to sit and chit chat for an hour after you are done your meal, but the store is open for a reason. If not, they'd have shut down 5 minutes earlier. If I own the restaurant, I view what the employee did as making my customers feel uncomfortable ordering from my business. That guy would be gone. I don't care how annoyed you were. not saying the customer is ALWAYS right, but if they are merely placing an order during posted business hours, they are right and you as an employee are fricking with my business at that point. There's the door.
Now the nurse sounds like a twat, but that doesn't take away from what the employee did.

Wish I could upvote your post more than once. I'm not going to ever sit down 5 minutes before closing, but sometimes it just happens. Do your job and be happy about it. Most people will realize they are "holding you up" and tip accordingly.

this!

and if the wait staff huffs and puffs and starts fricking mopping under my chair, that tip disappears with the quickness.
'posted hours' don't mean 'don't order food right after we open or right before we close' it means
WE ARE frickING OPEN FOR BUSINESS DURING THESE HOURS
so make my damn milkshake and tear down the machine AFTER STORE HOURS.
shaking my damn head at entitled food workers in this thread.
