Summer camp. Listening to Appetite for Destruction and Open Up and Say Ahh cassettes on the faux Walkman my parents bought me.
Catching the early days of GnR would have been on my bucket list.

3rd or 4th grade, I can’t even remember anymore. Amazing how vast chunks of my life are a blank.
It's always weird to me when I talk to family members or friends (even high school classmates) who revel in nostalgia and "Do you remember Mrs. So-and-so from 6th grade" shite. I guess I'm kind of a "frick it move on" type, because there's so much that I never even think about unless someone asks me a specific question.

I was living in Wynn, AR and was turning 8. My church had a revival/crusade thing and I made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and got baptized.
Other than that, I think that might of been the year I fell in love with the Braves on TBS (my dad was a big Astros fan from when we lived near Houston before that).
And the big highlight of my day/week was when my brothers and I got our dollar or 2 allowance and got to ride to the convenience store a few blocks away to get a pack of sweet tarts or candy cigarettes.

If I'm 62 and as dumb as you are, while still posting on TD 50 times a day...
Someone please come kill me. It will be welcomed.

That’s the beauty of talking to your baws from days of old.
Your baws will remember stuff you forgot and you’ll happen to remember things your baws forgot.

8th grade in Western PA, getting into a lot of mischief. Mixed feelings from that time frame, some good some bad. Was looking for a change. Got one a year later when my dad got a new job and we moved to BR.

One of my HS teammates posted a locker room photo on facebook. Looked like halftime of one of the many games we lost senior year. He asked me who the guy sitting next to me in the picture was and it was our qb, who my friend - a receiver - had talked to at least 5 days a week the Fall semester of our senior year.
And I had no recollection of anyone ever taking pictures in the locker room, even though I'm clearly facing whoever took the picture.

I was 28 and finishing my second enlistment in the US Air Force. Nothing particular stands out about that year other than I was a Staff Sergeant, married, no kids and stationed in Montgomery AL.

1988 was the year I met a New Orleans born girl at college who now call my wife.

I was three years old living in Irvine, my dad was CO of the Headquarters squadron at Tustin in 88. You probably crossed paths with him.
