YES I know that nursing homes and other facilities/places of employment are still testing very frequently but damn.

Do you really need to ask at this point? Between tests and votes, they can find whatever benefits them.

But they typically put a disclaimer if the positive cases are from "back whenever they feel like it".

Total cases by collection date on or after 11/19/2020 - 22,811, plus hospitalizations equals 24,136. The number I posted yesterday using the same methodology was 24,191. There are 55 fewer active cases today than yesterday, a decrease of 0.23%. 2,133 of the 2,774 new cases are from test dates during this time.

26k doesn't really seem like an unusual amount of test based on the normal reporting

People getting tested

It’s cold and flu season so I don’t think it’s absurd to think people are going and getting tested just to be sure. The drive thru testing site on Staring had a line backing up traffic last week.

What time was this? I pass that thing twice per day and have never seen more than two cars waiting.

Louisiana is currently reporting 3,645,006 tests

I think it’s more forced / incentive based testing than people wanting a test

Which only brings those who are not sick, or have mild or no symptoms into contact with those who are sick. Needlessly.
