Birth control. Supreme Court under Earl Warren, partially. Great Society. Dick Cheney pushing Little Bush to take out Sadaam. Gerrymandering districts based on race.

keep on keeping on. You’ll never ever amount to anything. Never stop.

ETA: I will say that I wish every single day that America would’ve never allowed slaves into this country! America would be much better today for not having allowed that crap.

These two things aren't related.
Just because you say so? It couldn't be more related. You just don't like the answer. That's literally my answer to where we went wrong. I think slavery was actually more over-comeable than Jim Crow.

To repeat: we went wrong as a society when it became acceptable in large swaths of the country for law enforcement to - at the very least - look the other way when church-going mobs of citizens were murdering other human beings and having their children pose for pictures with burnt, hung corpses. Also, in some areas, there were "lynching postcards" - imagine sending someone a happy postcard commemorating the incident in the picture. That was really a thing. Talk about macabre (and evil).

That is an almost unthinkable level of moral rot to recover from. Yet most of you dullards want to blame it on the 19th amendment or birth control. It's patently clear that when women weren't voting or having casual sex, plenty of shite was absolutely evil and haywire in this country.

You asked me where we went wrong. I answered

But your answer is incorrect.

The simple and correct answer to the question, "Where did we go wrong as a society?" is ...

We should have picked our own cotton.

One need only look around at the inner cities today to know that to be true. LINK: YouTube Knockout Game

Oh, and the other answer to, "where did we go wrong?"

It was when we granted women the Right to Vote.

It probably is going exactly as he thought. It was a clever post to show that man has always been in a fallen state.

You are spot on with a caveat - if American society is wrong today it has been wrong since it was transported from Europe and spread across the new world. It has always been built on a legacy of greed and the powerful having dominion over the weak. It is based in Christian teachings. When Europeans started using various forms of the word race to describe groups of people with similar physical characteristics instead of the way the term had been used since the beginning of time to describe family or tribal connections the damage done to then current and all future European based societies became morally bankrupt. Mankind existed for its entire history through the 16th century without the modern concept of race. The United States has NEVER existed without the man made construct of race at the foundation of everything done in the New World. Many will claim this is untrue and brainwashing and all manner of bullshite to make themselves feel better but they are simply wrong...the record is abundantly clear....the concept of race has destroyed any ethical or morality that mankind may have ever possessed.
