Do people really not have anything interesting about themselves that makes them unique so they have to voice that they are a liberal or conservative person?

It seems like there are thousands of other more unique and interesting things people could categorize as that people would actually rather hear about, but everyone is caught up in the bullshite that the media feeds them.

Don't vote for these idiots, but also dont let them control your life no matter how hard they try.

Im gonna set the over/under at 8.5 years

The moment that political affiliation doesn't seem like the closest thing to a cadre that a person feels.

Nope.

What we're witnessing right now is the beginning of the sunset of the American republic.

I'm not saying that from a liberal or conservative point of view but rather from a historical point of view.

It's really not all that surprising given that the average civilization lasts somewhere about 250 to 300 years.

The only question is whether or not we balkanize into different regions or we have our very own Augustus Caesar who transforms us into an empire.

I agree. History is very fascinating and rewarding to read also.i normally spend the last 30 minutes or so before i fall asleep browsing topics on reddits history or askhistorians subreddits.

I also dont think its the end of the world if America does collapse, it happens to everyone. It will just go down as another example of something great ruined by incompetence

I don't think it is any time soon. Obama, trump, and now biden have done everything they can to make folks feel that other Americans are their biggest enemy. Folks see it as us vs them.

When people quit flying flags of a sitting, or past, presidents. Which is just weird in and of itself.

It’s become sport for many people and the internet makes them feel part of it.

We won't unless people become willing to say "frick you" to those who do it.

Because it is. It’s those of us that want to live our life as we see fit versus those that want us to live our lives as they see fit.

There is really no room for compromise once that ship sailed.

I mean, the vanguards of the current party in power are government cheese and murdering unborn children because mommy made an oopsie

“Personal responsibility” is already a no-no phrase in academia, it won’t be long before it’s galvanized in the annals of wrongthink
