When singers get the crowd to sing their songs?!

Trying to find various live performances on YouTube and this is a big problem. I’d like to see the song sung live, but most popular ‘artists’ seem to hold the mic out and let the crowd sing their most popular songs.
I don’t want the hear a bunch of blow hards. I want to hear YOU!
Rant over….

I went to the Eras Tour and she only did this for one line in one or two out of forty something songs.

The logic of this has always baffled me. I have no issue with the performer courting people to sing along, but keep the mic to your mouth and keep singing. We sound like shite; you make us sound better, and you help maintain the pace of the song because yes, we are entirely too stupid as a mob to do it on our own. Sing your song, we'll sing along, and we'll all have a blast. Don't do the mid-line cut out shite.

How dare they appeal to the people that paid to see them instead of some dude watching a video of a past concert

My cover of the sweetest taboo will make your panties melt

Sounds like you'd be better off listening to the studio versions
Live performances are about the crowd energy and letting them sing the chorus to the popular songs is a common tactic to keep the crowd engaged and hyped

How many lyrics do singers usually "let the crowd sing" instead of themselves?
Maybe 2 lines over the course of a 2 hour concert?
What you should be bitching about is the amount of back tracks that are being used.
Which includes instruments, too.

I like the Timberlake kid’s Mirror song but every live performance is 80% crowd or dubbed down with him lip syncing.

JfC you guys bitch about anything and everything.
God forbid the frontman gets the crowd involved and puts on a show.

Pay for a private show. You’ll be bored.
The artists do it because the crowd loves it. The number of people who love it are in the clear majority. You can hear them.
The artists also love it because they are fueled to hear so many people singing their lyrics.

I just saw The Cure and I’m 99.99% positive that that didn’t happened and he and the rest of band sounded amazing and you can tell if you know what you’re listening and looking for
