I’ve seen several videos of Terri Clark performing Poor Poor Pitiful Me live and in one performance she holds the mic out to the crowd at the two spots where the song hits the highest notes. I guess she knew she wasn’t able to hit the high notes and hid it in a way that got the audience excited.
ETA - the linked video is not the one with crowd singing but I still wanted everyone to enjoy Terri Clark’s voice.
