If you are planning a vacation, in general, which direction would you rather go with? Go somewhere you know you will have fun and that you know you enjoy or somewhere you haven't been, to gain that experience of going to.. With the chance you could either not enjoy it as much or enjoy it more. Which one are you picking?

New destinations not filled with hard plans is the most awarding imo.

Who wants to go eat at the same Applebee’s in Destin 8 years in a row?

Somewhere new. In the last three years I have been to Iceland, Thailand, Cambodia, Turks and Caicos, Curacao, and Alaska. I leave in little over a month for Prague and Budapest. I like seeing new things vs the same thing over and over.

We typically take multiple trips per year, with most being to new places and just "long weekend" type trips. Sometimes we will accompany family on their vacation, which may be somewhere that we've been before. This year we are going back to Hawaii.

Spend lots of money on plans that are cliche, unoriginal or can fall through the floor. Or plan a trip reserving a bed and just see what’s out there. I traveled in the Navy and pulling into places with no plans definitely trumps taking a break from your already highly scheduled life to deal with the headaches of schedules and all of the unnecessary stuff. Memories of unplanned fun, sighting and experience is the shyt.

A little of both. I like to travel somewhere new as much as possible, but still have to visit Vegas, Houston area, and Montana fairly regularly to see family.

If I get the choice, always somewhere new.

We plan ahead some things and reserve a few must-have meals, but always be sure to leave at least 2 days with no set plan. Some of the best travel memories are stumbling into a random bar in another city.

That's the thing. I love going to LV... And not just to gamble, there are other things there I like to experience and still haven't had a chance to.. But there are also other places I would like to go. If someone were to give me the option to go to.. Las Vegas or somewhere different (it would likely all depend on where the other place is), I am not sure which one I pick.

We have never repeated a trip and love it that way. As long as you keep an open mind to where you're going or just suck, it's hard to have a bad vacation

This why I like traveling alone. Just do whateves.

Not many places I would revisit. San Diego is about the only one on that list at this point.

I had an ex that would ask me if I've been somewhere when she was looking at places she wanted to go, because she knew I would say no if i'd been there. No need to get her hopes up. Train them early boys....its possible. Ha.

They say time speeds up when you get older because of routine and lack of new experiences. Give me unplanned, unknown and spontaneity.
