I think they could lift the restaurant/bar/non-essential retail/WFH ban as early as 4/1.

No offense, but that’s delusional.

Did flying ever get back to normal after 9/11? Once liberties are taken they are rarely given back.

Can you please explain to me what liberties at airports have been taken away from us?

Once people's lives are affected enough.
Most people are short sighted. They just figure "ohh goody a few weeks off work" "I get to be lazy and watch TV all day".
But, when the real sacrifices need to be made they'll be all against it.

In addition once the mortality rates continue to drop well below 1%.

I think mid April you'll see things reopening, hysteria dieing down.

He might say that we can’t waltz right in like we used to, but that would be similar to saying the installation of a stop sign is a loss of liberty.

Italy has a ban on funerals and weddings right now but a lot of people seem to think in a month we’ll be back to business as usual. Sure thing.

The blue zone is the time period where the protective measures are enacted. As you can see, if we remove them in September we would face almost the same level of risk as we are facing now.

And if we don't remove them, this country's economy will suffer catastrophic collapse.

Do you honestly not see the impact of maintaining these draconic measures over the course of an entire year?

It is not sustainable. Period.

I'm fully expecting to be grilling and swimming at the country club by Memorial Day.

Won't be fully normal until schools reopen in August.

Nah, they're either

A)Trolls
B)Idiots
C)Medical professionals with an inability (or unwillingness right now) to understand second and third order affects outside of their area of expertise.

The first group, well, ya. Internet.
The second group you just pat on the head anytime they say anything anyway.
The last group is causing the most problems, but I'm hoping the fact in general them not being idiots will eventually get them to come around to the fact they need to consider factors outside of their medical realm.

You guys are freaking sheep.

I’ve never seen people so enamored with having a government decide what they do and when.

Spineless. I hope you don’t represent most Americans.

I bet you would be singing a different tune if it was your business going bankrupt. "

Nice try-thanks for playing. Where the hell did that drivel come from? The question was "What liberties are being taken from you, specifically? " Go ahead....

For the record, I’m not one of those people. But it’s people like you and our govt who say “Oh well, the ends justify the means.”

It’s a damn slippery slope and I’m not as excited as some of you about sliding down it. I also trust our govt “experts” about as far as I could throw them.

exactly, we're killing the economy for a virus that kills elderly with underlying medical conditions. isolate them, it's not worth causing a great depression to save less people than were killed by the swine flu.
