1995ish and my parents bought a $3k Gateway 456MB or something like that desktop. Saw many a slow loading porn picture on that thing back in the day

I can download movies now faster than I could a picture on that dial up internet in 2000

We had it in our house in college in 94. Roommate's dad worked for IBM and got him a nice computer. We had to dial into the school's server. All I remember we could really do was search the library and post on discussion boards.

I'm honestly still impressed when a 1+ GB video file downloads in a few minutes. It feels like yesterday that downloading a movie required letting it go all night and praying it didn't time out before morning.
