When did "takeovers" become a thing and why are they happening more often?

San Antonio I-10 Takeover
I actually drove through San Antonio Sunday on my way home from West Texas deer camp. But I've seen these in BR and other big cities. Why do these idiots think its a good idea to shut down a major interstate and do donuts and shoot at people?

I imagine it's going to be a matter of time before they start that shite here. Thursday or Friday night there was a slew of cars doing drag racing and burnouts in the old Kroger parking lot, per Neighborhood App.

Short Dog was the first cassette I ever owned that I never fast forwarded through any of it. Listened front to back and only rewound back to the beginning.

They do this all over Atlanta, and tried it in Roswell/Alpharetta area. Happy to say the police made a bunch of arrests and I haven’t heard of one since.
Just add it to the list of stupid fricking shite some folks do. At least rednecks tend to keep it to fields and backroads and not underpasses on Interstates.

Kids have been doing this shite forever. However, we went to rural areas with a nice straight section of road and no traffic. We didn't frick up city traffic like the dipshits do.
