When I was little kid we would get one gift. Some like a toy truck, football or whatever. Something simple and inexpensive.

people get so mad when someone had/got more than them growing up. It's hilarious.

I used to get 1 gift in my basket in the 80s. Usually a Nintendo game. I have vivid memories of getting Duck Tales.

I’m 47 and used to get a chocolate bunny, some other candy and baseball cards and stickers. Who knew the Easter Bunny was a Reds and Johnny Bench fan like me.

I got a basket with assorted candies, colored hard boiled eggs, a stuffed animal or some small toy, a book, maybe an SNES game or something.

Last year I had a friend post Easter pics for her 5 yr old and it was insane. Several baskets with candy and small toys. That was surrounded by several big Lego sets, Nerf gun, video games, a scooter, and kid sized golf clubs. I thought it was excessive for Easter and I think this kid is going to be spoiled, but it's their money and their kid.

Trying to take the CHRIST out of Easter. It's a shame.

Theologically speaking Easter is the more important Christian event that Christmas. Christianity is based on the resurrection. So we should make a bigger deal out of Easter than Christmas.

When’s Facebook and other social media platforms expanded their ability to brag to others about what they got their kids for holidays.

Because now you have to show off your kids presents on Facebook, everything has exploded since social media, including travel ball, vacations, reveal parties, prom invitations, etc etc etc

Every stupid little thing we do in life has been overly dramatized for the sake of getting likes and comments.

Oh, and get off my lawn or something

I am 44.

I'm 52 and remember there was always one cool gift in my Easter basket. I remember the year I got walkie talkies very well.

My dad made 10k a year at the time and we never got toys outside of birthdays or Christmas so this was very special.

OP can eat a bag of rancid dicks.

I’m 42. Always got a few toys in the basket — and we were poor.

It was not a Santa style haul but a couple of GI Joe’s or a transformer to get through the post X-mas pre-birthday lul.
