Some of them are still decent. On trips recently I stopped at a Logan’s and Texas Roadhouse. Both were pretty good for the price. Logan’s was very good.
Applebee’s has gone to shite though, last time I stopped there I’ve had TV dinners that were better than what I ordered.
I think they have trouble finding good consistent cooks and trying to keep prices cheaper than upscale restaurants has led to poorer food quality due to cutting corners or getting pre made stuff shipped in rather than fresh ingredients and preparing meals in house.

Very True and this even goes for very high end properties. The front of the house often isn’t much better, but it is somewhat.

Texas Road house is the best value for steak in my town(Baton Rouge). But it's widely known and VERY busy these days.
