When Did Hammond Louisiana become the crime capital of the USA?

I’m listening to the police chief of Hammond discussing how gangs have taking over the city. Shootings at gas stations, town district, right in front of the police. Time to send in the National Guard to Hammond?

It’s a sad thing to witness. Another shooting recently downtown, Cate St., the area that is nicest to hit up in the city. It seems to be going down quickly.

The darkness will consume all. It has destroyed New Orleans, Baton Rouge, mall of Cortana, mall of Louisiana… and will eventually destroy everything. We will need to do something that is incredibly uncomfortable if we want to secure a better future for our children.

The police chief should reach out to Governor Landry to request additional law enforcement support, including the State Police, National Guard, or other available resources.
The demographics of Hammond are well known, and it is not a large city. A coordinated response and assessment should be relatively straightforward and could be completed quickly.

Drug routes between Baton Rouge New Orleans, and Hammond allow for easy interstate access for both BR and Nola tPOS.

The entire real estate market is based off of finding homes and properties far enough from these people where you are not a 3 Hour drive from your workspace,,,, And I will say it again, we are not created equal

All we have to do is get rid of activist judges, build more prisons and enforce the existing laws. Bring back the 3 strikes law. There's no reason for someone with 8 felonies to be walking around free.

Hammond is not the crime capital of the USA. They aren't even among the 25 cities with the highest crime rate mentioned on this UNSWR list. Although 4 Louisiana cities including Baton Rouge and New Orleans are listed.
