I've been having a pair of LL Bean Duck Boots since I was 12. There awesome in winter and for hunting obviously.
My nephew is soon to be 12 and I was going to buy him a pair for Christmas, but theyre all backordered until March. I called LL Bean to see what was going on and apparently movie stars have taken to wearing these, therefore everybody & their mother want these boots.
I just
as I never thought I'd see the day LL Bean was considered fashionable.
I went ahead & ordered him some, but I'll have to get something else for under the tree.

They were very popular in the nineties. I had a pair of green ones and blue ones.

Mine just came in, and I ordered them in September.

The low-top version was the shizznit when I was at LSU in the early 80s, though I personally never had a pair.

I wore them throughout high school and college during rainy weather. I only wear them during Mardi Gras now. Have had same pair for 10 years.

If you're looking for a pair now, I just got a great pair of I.I. Dean boots at Payless for only $19.99. You can't even tell the difference

I once saw a dude I know go to a job interview wearing those duck boots. That wasn't the kind of job interview where you'd wear something like that.

They've always been fashionable.

Same here. I love them and have been having my current pair for about 10 yrs too. Just didn't think they'd ever be adopted by the Hollywood crowd

Unless youre in the woods in muddy/wet conditions, you look like a douchebag and a tool wearing them for fashion. But, you have every right to look like a douchebag or tool if you want.

Funny you mention it. My husband has had the same pair since 1996, and still wears them in winter, tailgating in slop or just generally when it's wet outside. I put his on to walk outside for same purposes and decided I wanted a pair to wear to my dad's camp.
Disclaimer- I'll admit I've noticed more people wearing them in the past year. And while I still need a pair (I'm always accused of stealing his clothing instead of buying my own female version of whatever), the rise in popularity may have pushed me over brink to request them.

i like these too. These are my next pair
The Caribou is a nice boot, it's virtually impossible to have cold feet in those.
I've got some LL Bean duck boots I've had since 1995, still going strong.

I ordered a pair from LLBean 2 Christmases ago (2013) that didn't come in until March or so.
They're the best shoes I own to be honest. I wear them any chance I get.

Have a pair of the low and high. High for hunting. I wear the low ones with my jeans pretty regularly, esp when its raining.
Mine are comfortable though. Id rather that for everyday practicality than wearing reg. tennis shoes.
If I'm out though I'm wearing nicer shoes.
