ETA: I turned off the auto-correct on my iPhone Pro and thusly Outlook Mobile and Teams Mobile, so I constantly have to look up difficult-to-spell words.
I think that ingrains the spelling in the mind.
That's also why I constantly review and edit my posts for spelling and grammar, even days later.

I am horrible at typing homonyms. It doesn't happen when writing, but I seem to have a different brain-to-hand connection when typing, where I apparently type phonetically.
