Where did you go? Was it expensive? Would you recommend?
Went to Spain during winter. Barcelona and Seville. Food was damn cheap and everything was beautiful and chill and English was ok. I’d recommend Spain 100%

In the United States I will say the Oregon Coast. Very underrated, not too touristy, and generally free from the BS in Portlandia.

Absolutely, if you love having a private island, the beach, AYCE/AYCD, Butler Service and Scuba Diving

I’d have to say Italy, but cruising Route 66’s west end is pretty awesome

I hiked the Tour de Mont Blanc a few years ago. It goes around Mont Blonc through the alps. You start in Les Houches, France and hike into Italy, then Switzerland, then back to France. Its 108 miles and 35,000 ft elevation gain but man, it was awesome.
I slept in refuges every night so didnt need to pack a tent. You sleep in large rooms with people from all over the world. They cook a huge dinner every night and give you plenty of wine and beer.
Really was an epic trip

I miss going to PCB every summer as a kid and then during spring break in HS. I haven't been in 20 years and I intend to keep it that way since everything is gone now.

South Dakota and all the sites, plus Stanley lake swimming, stayed in a VRBO. Was fairly cheap and the kids loved it.
Usually active, wondering, exploring kids were standing silently against the railing in awe of Mount Rushmore for 30 minutes. Than off they went up the path to the base of it.
Was a really fun trip

Took the family to Paris, St. Goer Germany, Brugge Belgium and we ended up in Wasner The Netherlands visiting friends. Was a great trip with wife and kids having first time out of the country.
In June this year wife and I with two other couples spent 10 days on Vancouver Island. Hiked, whale watched, fished and ate, drank and were merry. Another great trip.

Cruising the lesser Antilles with a friend on his 66 ft yacht. A trip that my wife and I will always be grateful.

Roatan.
My wife wanted to stay at a resort, but I didn't want to pay resort prices. She agreed to let me plan everything but if I fricked up I'd never hear the end of it. I found a house on a private beach on West Bay right next to Las Rocas Dive Shop for $200/night. It was fantastic, even came with a little guy that showed up every morning and raked the beach and knocked down coconuts for my kids to drink the milk out of.
Our only mistake was stopping at the grocery store and stocking up planning to cook our own meals. The beach restaurants were only a few hundred yards down the beach (if that far) and very cheap. We wound up leaving almost all the food for the cleaning ladies when we left.
