What’s the worst/funniest experience you’ve ever had with a Walmart employee?

The GF and I just went to Wally World to return a bunch of food that we didn’t need for our cabin weekend we had last weekend. The food in the bag we returned was worth maybe $20. Instead of examining the contents in the bag one by one, Quanisha at the customer service counter rolls her eyes, sighs, and gives my GF a full refund for the entire receipt ($45). Worked out for her but pure laziness on the employee’s part.

My wife went to Walmart earlier today. She said that she told the deli worker she wanted a 1/4 lb of cheese. The worker had over half a pound and was still slicing. My wife told her that she only asked for a 1/4 lb. The worker kept telling her no, it still needs 3 more slices. She couldn't understand that a "quarter pound" is .25 and not .75.

I'm not generally one to throw the term around but I'm pretty sure that stealing from Walmart is trashy as hell

How trashy do you have to be to return food to Walmart? What did you return? A bag of chips and such? Like you can’t eat it later. And if any of it had an upcoming expiration date your trashiness is doubled.

Why in the ever loving frick do think it's okay to return food that you didn't use? Some 3rd grader is going to be taking chips that rolled around your vehicle for his snack next week.

Bought some prenatal vitamins and the girl checking us out said what are these. So we explained why you take them and she said, my sister needs these cuz she keeps getting pregnant. Then she says, well she keeps aborting them too so I guess she wouldn’t need them.

Exactly what I was thinking. How poor are you? Did you need the money that bad that you couldnt just hang on to the food and eat it next time maybe or just eat it anytime really

I don't think the "Walmart" part is really necessary. Also, I love when a thread doesn't go the way it did in OP's head.

Relax. I'm sure the leftover Pringles were still perfectly fresh if they put the lid on securely.

Mid 90’s...I needed to buy a watch battery and the lady at the jewelry counter was bent over going through stuff under the counter. I tried to get get her attention by saying hello a few times, got more pissed off and knocked on the counter. She never even looked up. I stormed off, found the store manager and railed on her about what a POS the lady working in jewelry was. When I finished, she said follow me and we walked over to the jewelry counter. She tapped the lady on the shoulder and started speaking to her in sign language. The manager said she had her hearing aids out replacing the batteries and was trying to find them. I carried my 2 inch tall self out the store and never forgot my worst experience at wal mart nor the lesson in humility.

I have zero interaction with Wal Mart employees ever since self-checkout became a thing. And I certainly don't return shite to Wal Mart.

I bet the cashier at Shell rolled her eyes too when you tried to return the unused gas from the trip.

They have to scan the barcode of each individual item being returned before it can be returned. They can’t just refund off of the receipt. Your story is bullshite.
