There was a married couple who lived in my neighborhood. They had two kids and they were pretty involved in their church. Just seemed like the average family. When the oldest kid, a teenager at the time, went look for his dad's "porn stash", one day when his parents were not home, he found a few VCR tapes.

He put in one of the tapes, which he expected it to be copies of porn, put it was a homemade video of his mom and dad going at it with a couple that was friends with the parents. Turns out the parents were swingers, but after the son found the videos and then told his parents he found their videos, it lead to his parents divorcing. His dad/the husband ended up with the woman from the other couple. The husband from the other couple evidently ended up with another women that was "in their group". And the mother/wife was on her own..

This isn't cheating in the traditional sense I guess, but people from two different couples ended up with people they were "swinging" with. And this was many years ago. I was a teenager and I think it might have been how I learned what swinging was.

That’s her dad’s fault. If he was so well off, he should have made it where she didn’t need a boss.

Knew a couple from church a while back. I always thought the guy was kind of a douche to be honest but his wife seemed like a decent enough lady.

Apparently on Christmas Eve they put milk and cookies out for Santa with the kids and then put them to bed. Then they laid out all the gifts from Santa under the tree and opened a bottle of wine as was their tradition. Then he sat down on the couch with her and dropped divorce papers on her and admitted to having an affair with another woman and was leaving her.

Now I don’t try to be the morality police or anything and I get that people cheat and get divorced and that sucks. But damn, that was one of the coldest things I’ve heard of a man doing to his wife. Worse than the affair in my opinion.

Heard a pretty good one recently:

A couple that both did industrial construction were on a project that had a requirement where if you and your SO lived and worked together, you’d only get 1 per diem instead of 2.

HR calls them into the office to let them know and they immediately got angry.

Apparently although they worked and lived together on multiple projects, they both were married and their real significant others back home would know if they just lost the per diem.

Don’t know if the SOs ever actually found out

The guy in Texas that killed his wife and kids to escalate his affair. I hope every moment that guy spends in prison is absolute pain and misery. I hope he dies in the most horrible excruciating manner and his soul is tortured forever in hell. He deserves no less.

One of the more memorable....

quote:

"Burst of Joy" is a poignant photograph that depicts, on the surface, the joy of a hero’s welcome. Stirm’s back is to the camera, allowing him to serve as the epitome of the resilient soldier who made his way home. This particular reunion, however, was not as joyous or welcoming as the photograph would lead you to believe. Stirm’s wife, Loretta Stirm, is seen running toward her husband, a big smile on her face.

Yet only days before Stirm was rescued and brought home, Loretta wrote him a letter ending their marriage.

quote:

Lt. Col. Robert Stirm was a US Air Force pilot, and he was shot down over Hanoi, Vietnam, in October of 1967. Notably, he was imprisoned only one day after Senator John McCain – both were held in the infamous Hoa Lo Prison. The captive Americans held there sarcastically called this prison the Hanoi Hilton.

quote:

At the time, Stirm remarked: “It’s not fair. It’s just not. I’m the one that lives with all the aches and pains from my imprisonment, but she continues to get paid.” That certainly makes the fact that Loretta is there in the photograph, smiling wide at her then-husband, all the more painful. Even his children had trouble with his return.

Dude is shot down over vietnam, taken as a PoW, and his wife cheats on him, sends him a "dear john" letter days before his return.

Is that the guy who dumped his kids body down a well? That was the saddest documentary I've ever watched.

I don't think that is what he is doing. This was just one of four tenants that came from the Modesto Manifesto for best practices for clergy from a meeting of Evangelical Ministers back in the 50's. It became known as the Billy Graham rule colloquially because of how staunch he was about it. He famously refused to dine with Hillary Clinton at the White House while she was First Lady and met her at a public restaurant. The rule got notoriety during Trump's first term because Mike Pence adopted the rule as a young man and many reporters called him sexist for the approach, which he called the Billy Graham rule.

When I worked in the field there was an extremely trashy (even by pipefitter standards) guy who showed up to work all beat up. He wouldn't say why and was crying like a lil bitch all morning. He finally broke down and told us that he and his wife had had a threesome with a friend and the friend kicked him out of his own house and shacked up with his wife. The friend took the trashy fitter's boat fishing and whooped his arse when he tried to stop him. The trashy fitter slept in his truck outside of his own home for a few weeks.

Holy shite. That’s pathetic. I mean… damn.

Was on yourube and a video was titled "cheating man kills family after fiancée catfished him". Long story short - dude had been with this girl a long time and was a serial cheater. She created a fake profile and got him to believe that one of the girls he was messing around with was part of the drug cartel and that he needed to kill her. The idiot dude doesn't just kill the side chick, he killed her, the side chicks husband, the 2 kids and 2 dogs in the house. So then the dude and gis fiancee go on the run after cops start putting two and two together. It ended in a car chase, the car caught on fire with the two idiots inside and instead of giving up, the guy shoots his fiancee in the head and then kills himself.

Many many moons ago I got married young, for the trophy. Not long after I was miserable. Extra time w makeup, one size to tight jeans, extra button undone on blouse, etc etc etc
Was educated in tech/networks etc back when that was the boom. Real money was in cities like Houston with bigger projects. When brought up, I absolutely refused to even consider moving. I had several projects going on and money wasn't any sort of problem..no kids
Fast forward to Tiger game day. She was running late getting ready and realized her purse was left in the trunk of her work vehicle, that she would leave at office. Asked me to get purse to save time. I took off got to vehicle, opened trunk and saw a pack of photos. It was her and another guy and some photos were quite raunchy with NO doubt of sex.

Kept composure at that time and went on plotting things out for a week. Wealthy father and had placed our condo/townhome into her name after we married. He and I had a company together, etc etc

I showed him everything one day..photos, emails, call logs, texts,
I agreed to step away and dissolve my part of that business and sign over some additional stock stuff that was his family's prior business, but had given her ownership Yada Yada
In the end, I got around 60k and the townhouse for marrying the skank and getting cheated on. Jumpstarted some other ventures and the rest is history. I never spoke to her again, not once. She paid attorney, filed herself, I recieved it in the mail and never showed for court..which made it final and granted. She moved to Houston during process.
This was in LCharles. Still rent that condo put....I think I did alright

To this day, 20+ yrs later, haven't spoken to word to her...maybe saw her twice in passing and thanked God she wasn't in my life all these years. Looked exactly the part...middle age woman trying desperately to hold on to the look she had as a young woman. It was pathetic
