re: What's the story on the tall, white, vacant house on Lee

IIRC, that house was being constructed by Seigen 7. I think the owner of that company has had a rough patch recently. He was building a house in Willow Grove for his son, the son fired him in the midst of construction. The son then sued his dad.
Sounds fricked up to me and probably explains while the house just sits there vacant.

Isn’t Nguyen the last name of Sammy? As in Sammy’s restaurant on highland?

Which development did he do that wasn’t professional? I’m not saying you’re wrong, just asking you to lay some knowledge on me. I have family that lives in one of his residential developments and they had no complaints.

Sounds like a situation where the people having it built ran out of funds.
There was a huge estate in Cleveland, MS where some guy who came into quite a bit of money tried to build a 10k square foot mansion with a golf course. Ran out of funds before it was all completed now it's a huge nice house sitting vacant on an overgrown golf course

They're Asian so they are probably paying it off in cash as they go. They are just waiting to win more money at Lauberge so they can continue

There's a house on Highland that's been under construction for about 10 years now. What a waste of money.

LoL at the listing saying the house was built in 2016. It was first listed on MLS in 2011. Thing is going to have to be gutted after sitting closed up for this long.

That's Steve Olivier's house. Had another one on Cloverdale that sat there for years and was just recently purchased.
He also owns several vacant lots on Goodwood that he lists, but never sells. Kind of strange.

Maybe they think the next major hurricane will make Lee drive beach front property?

Can driver built the house than Uber came to town and took all the work. Put him out on the street and now the house is vacant.

I didn’t know that one finally sold. I always wondered how he sat on million dollar plus homes for years on end. Either he built them with cash or he was paying on the construction loan all that time. Either way, he had millions sitting idle which is really weird for a builder. Had him come look at a renovation job for me once. He was on site two minutes and started trying to buy the property and kept talking about how he would tear the house down and what he would build there. I finally told him to leave since he apparently wasn’t interested in the job. Weird guy.
