I didn't think Seigen Ln was all that bad when I was at LSU. That Olive Gargen is sketchy AF however.
I feel you about campus though. I always studied late, and the walk back to my truck I always felt paranoid about possibly getting jacked.

You do need to graduate with the quickness and get out of BR. Aren't you like a 5th yr Senior in Mass Comm or something?

I forgot exactly what year it was, but it was within the last ten, but we were on Bourbon for Lundi Gras. And as it always is, it was jam packed with people. We could barely move.
Suddenly, I hear loud gunshots, and I immediately look, and probably thirty yards away, you can see the dude firing at somebody.
Then a sea of humanity suddenly starts running away from it, and all the doors on all the bars suddenly shut and lock up, so nobody can come in.
I said, "frick Bourbon. I am never coming back here at night again."

My coworkers white trash girlfriend coming out of the bathroom at the movie theater wearing the nastiest pair of shorts that didn't cover her numerous leg scars and also sporting a lot of track marks on her arms.

lol a little devil worship never hurt no one.
I do have an instance that still gives me the creeps.
One time when I was in my mid teens, was driving back home from my girlfriend's house at 4am.
Well, she lived about 40 miles away and kind of in a remote area with lots of roads off the main highway (which was usually empty it's self) that leads into woods, hunting club land or backwoods land oil production, etc. So, I've always been a fan of just riding around and listening to music, which is what I felt like doing because I was more awake than I wanted to be, and did't feel like going home yet, so I take a longer-way detour.
Now as I'm driving down a back-road that I would hardly ever use, I come up on a car parked on the side of this dark, empty, dirt road with its lights off and a guy walking around it, sorta "scrambling to not be seen". As I pass, on the ground in the ditch beside his car is what looks like rolled up carpet/sheets which looks about a foot wide and about 5 and 1/2 feet long.
So yeah, I think I was seeing someone unload a body. To be out that late, in the middle of nowhere, a lone guy avoiding contact..with that on the ground. I'm a fairly macabre fricker myself, and it really just didn't feel or look right. No one ever reported finding anything, but I mean..if he had any sense, he moved it so his vehicle wouldn't be tied to a corpse.
I still wonder about that.

I also woke up when I was driving off the road once, that was a bit scary. Hit a culvert and went airborne for a momen
I woke up on my he atchafalaya basin bridge once. Made it even scarier that my little brother and sister were in the truck with me.
Another one I was working at a very high elevation and took my lunch break up there bc we didn't want to climb down. I woke up on the edge with my feet dangling. You know when you're in school and that little head bob feels like you're falling. I was tied off but that definitely gave me a shock.

Saw a car crash one day. A small truck (Ford Ranger I believe) crossed a 4 lane in front of me. I was behind him waiting to cross as well. When he crossed, he pulled right in front of a car going about 60 MPH. It was a perfect t-bone.
The driver of the small truck was not wearing a seatbelt and it ejected him out the window. He flew about 100 feet into traffic and got an over by two other vehicles.
I will never forget how he looked coming out of that window. It was like he was some kind of toy or something. Did not look real.

I was at the life sciences building and watched a student jump off and kill himself... Pretty horrific. He didn't die right away which was worse.

A Muslim with a knife attacked me in Marseille, France in 1988. I was minding my own business doing laundry. In short, It was a poor decision on his part. However, after he got a slice on me, the arse whooping ensued. The scariest thing though, was his arse getting away and sprinting down an ally. Scary as in, if his arse went and got some buds, I would have been in deep shite. Before people go poli board on this, the Muslim shop owner actually helped me get my shite together and brought me out of the back door before guiding me down an alley to the port. There is no doubt he risked a lot in doing so. 13 stitches later and all is well. Two French Legionaires were killed near that same spot that night. It didn't look like a shithole area but obviously was.

Living in an old House in Tuscaloosa at age 20.Woke up to Flames leaping through my bedroom door at the top.Jumped up and about choked.
Tried to open the window.Nailed shut.Picked up the nightstand and hit the window.Nothing.Started to have trouble breathing.Hit the window again.Nothing.
The center of my back started to sizzle from the heat.I was calling out to God and crying when I hit the window a 3rd time and it broke.
Got out alive. It was 4:10 am.We found a clock in the house that had stopped on that.Had 3 House-mates.The 2 that were there got out the same way I did.The other was spending the night with his girlfriend.
I Thank God for waking me that morning.

Some friends and I were fishing in a lagoon around Sarasota, FL when I was 16. The water was too shallow near the shore so we waded about 20 yards or so.
After about an hour, I had waded out far enough to be waist deep, and I feel a hard bump on the back of my leg, nearly knocked me over. I look down to see a 6 ft Bull Shark.
I freeze, just praying that this thing will go away, but it doesn't. The shark starts to circle me, I was too scared to call out to my friends ( I guess my dumb arse thought that the shark would hear me and attack
).
The shark circles me for a good minute, felt like an hour, and then it started to swim away. I started backing up towards the shore, then I see the shark turn around and charge straight for me. This thing moved unbelievably fast, I frantically move as fast as I can, I think I'm done.
I tried to block the attack with my fishing rod, it snapped like a twig. The shark hit me like a truck, I actually got vertical, like out of the water, and was bitten on my outer thigh. I'm throwing punches and kicks in all directions, and somehow make it back to shore.
I was unbelievably fortunate that I didn't get the full force of the bite, or I would be missing a huge chunk of my left leg. I still have a scar, but the wound itself only required a few stitches.

Saw a guy get stabbed on the French Quarter when I was like 13 or 14 walking around with my dad at Mardi Gras.
It was non-life threatening, but I was freaked the frick out.

Explosion at Motiva a few weeks back. Was 200 yards from it, and had to run towards fire to get out of gate. Heat was radiating, and didn't know if it would set off a chain reaction to different units. Have worked in oil and gas for 7 years, and although I've seen plenty of fires, it's the first time I've felt and heard an actual explosion. Seeing the panic in the parking lots of everyone running and trying to get out was an unnerving experience.

That all state commercial with the black woman.
I thought the point of commercials was to get people to buy, not scare them away.
I screamed in sheer horror when it said want my number?
HELL NO he don't want your #.
Somebody needs to be fired for that abortion of a commercial.

I watched a horrifying first quarter of a football game last weekend. It nearly killed me then and it kept coming back to haunt me in my dreams......
